Volunteers will be expected to support the daily running of the mobile medical clinic and assist our clinical staff in the assessment and treatment of patients. Where necessary, they will assist with the aid and relief projects along with health assessments and awareness sessions. Teams work closely together, to provide the best possible care for our patients, but also to support one another and ensure that your volunteer experience is the best it can be.

"EMA provides medical care for those who otherwise would not be able to see a doctor. Their team works
countless hours to support Syrian refugees and I am grateful that I could be a part of it."

Romy Bornscheuer, Medical Student – Germany

"When empathy meets dedication and altruism meets love. When working tirelessly becomes a duty and helping those who struggle, a must. When you believe in the strength of teamwork, the power of small victories and the magic of hope. You might have already guessed it! Yes, that’s how I spent one month on the ground as a junior doctor volunteering with EMA."

"Volunteering within EMA association has been for me a very fulfilling experience. From a professional point of view, it has enabled me to learn a lot from the local team and especially to rethink about my practice as one has to take into account the different obstacles and issues people in the camps are going to face during recovery."

Olivia Cattuti, Nurse - France

"I spent one of the most moving and enriching months of my life in Bar Elias with EMA. Having been studying
Levantine Arabic for the last few years and as a junior doctor with a huge interest in humanitarian medicine,
once I heard Hadia speak on a random Facebook video, I was captivated by EMA's story and mission."
